Swiss Avenue Art Gallery
Located next to the Dallas Theological Seminary, 4030 Swiss Ave was built in the 1970s in the center of the Old East Dallas neighborhood. The gallery space for Swiss Avenue Art Gallery utilizes the spatial language used in Maria Izquierdo’s SUEÑO Y PRESENTIMIENTO painting. The Gallery is bisected diagonally to allow for the space to be viewed from the street through any window. The gallery walls rotate on a hinge connected to the floor which opens the galleries to be used as a continuous space. Offices and facilities are located in the back bay of the building.
